A few hundred miles, three cities and three very different retail models: That was the arc of my recent road trip down the Southeast coast ahead of this year’s Furniture Today Leadership Conference in Florida.
What struck me most wasn’t just the diversity of store footprints or product assortments, but how each retailer has shaped its selling strategy around the needs, pace and personality of its local market.
