ALERT: Scammers impersonating Chatham County Police Chief

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — The Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) has been made aware of someone impersonating CCPD Chief Jeff Hadley. The scammers demand money to settle a police issue.

The CCPD is emphatic: no one from any law enforcement agency — including CCPD — will ever call and demand money over the phone to settle a ticket, warrant, court case or to help you avoid jail.

If you receive one of these calls — or a call from anyone impersonating a member of the CCPD — do not give them any personal information and hang up immediately…
