SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A jury trial is underway for a man accused of punching an elderly man, who died days later.
On New Year’s Eve 2019, 19-year-old Charles Teeple IV allegedly assaulted 66-year-old Bruce Helmly at Basil’s Bar on Wilmington Island. Witnesses said the punch was unprovoked, and Teeple’s motives remain unknown.
