Shelter From the Rain (SFTR) celebrated its 9th Annual Christmas Show and 15 years of service to single mothers at the Savannah Theatre, located at 222 Bull Street, Savannah, GA, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. SFTR, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has been empowering single moms in Savannah for over a decade. This annual holiday fundraiser raised awareness of the needs of single moms and generated much-needed funds to support the organization’s services and programs. Shelter From the Rain provides single mothers with baby supplies through its diaper bank, household items, mentorship, virtual tutoring for children, virtual mental health counseling, career development, financial literacy, and group support.
“We were extremely excited to celebrate 15 years of service to single mothers! We have grown so much and had the honor of helping hundreds of mothers and thousands of children. We are grateful for the impact we have been able to make by the grace of God,” said Jennifer T. Graham, Executive Director of Shelter From the Rain. With over 200 years of phenomenal live performances in downtown Savannah, the Savannah Theatre was a wonderful community partner for this very special event.
This year, for the 15th Anniversary Celebration & Christmas Tradition Show, SFTR debuted its very first Christmas Carol Contest, featuring some of Savannah’s favorite performers: Ben LaBonne, Kimberly Gunn, Kristin King, Laiken Love, and Moncello Stewart. Robert Gould of The Big Tide Summit & The Creative Exchange Network hosted the spectacular event. Awards were given for Best Performance and Top Fundraiser, with judges Jennifer Davenport, Brittanie Odom, Mike Zaller, Miquan Green, and Roger Moss…
