Teen arrested for Bloomingdale apartment complex death

BLOOMINGDALE, Ga. (WSAV) — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged a teenager for the death of another teen at a Bloomingdale apartment complex.

According to investigators, the murder of Antonio Thornton Jr., 17, of Loganville happened on December 14 at about 7:43 a.m. at the Magnolia Lane Apartments.

Franklin Leonard James Jr., 16, of Savannah is being charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony, and Possession of Firearm by a Person Under the Age of 18. James was booked into the Savannah Regional Youth Detention Center (RYDC) and is being charged as an adult, according to the GBI…
