Storm Team 3: Warm weekend to end 2025

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – After some morning cloud cover, sunshine will break through this afternoon with the final weekend of 2025 is shaping up to feel more like spring than winter. For perspective, the average high for this time of year is 62°, with an average low of 41°. Today, temperatures will run about 15 to 20 degrees above average, with afternoon highs climbing into the upper 70s to near 80° across the region. This possibly breaks or ties our record high of 80° today set back in 2015! Tonight will stay chilly, with a partly cloudy sky and overnight lows settling into the upper 50s, still well above normal though.

Warm conditions continue into Sunday, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs reaching the mid 70s. Clouds will gradually increase heading into Monday as the next cold front approaches. That system will bring the chance for a few passing showers, but temperatures will remain roughly 10 degrees above average, with highs in the low 70s.

A significant cooldown follows the front late Monday into Tuesday. Overnight lows Monday night will drop to around freezing, and Tuesday afternoon highs will struggle to reach the low to mid 50s. Cold mornings continue into New Year’s Eve, with temperatures at or below freezing and afternoon highs remaining in the low to mid 50s…
