BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) – A late-night fire in Beaufort County has left one person with injuries and left a family of five currently displaced.
Just after midnight, the Burton Fire District (BFD), MCAS Fire & Emergency Services, Beaufort County EMS and Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) were dispatched to a second fire at The Bay mobile home park on Shanklin Rd after a family was preparing to go to bed and noticed smoke growing inside their home.
New Year’s Eve fire injures one, displaces Lowcountry family
Emergency crews arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a mobile home. The residentsand neighbors were attempting to extinguish flames that were coming from underneath the home. Firefighters extinguished the fire before it spread into the home.
No injuries were reported. The fire is currently under investigation…
