Storm Team 3: Warming up ahead of next rainmaker

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – We’re tracking a warm-up starting today as clouds gradually increase. Highs will climb above average into the mid to upper 60s this afternoon. The sky turns mainly cloudy later today and this evening ahead of our next system, which will bring a few spotty showers late this evening and overnight.

Tomorrow looks to be the wettest day, with a mostly cloudy sky and scattered rain throughout the day. A few thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening. With temperatures staying above average and highs near 70, there is a low-end risk that a few storms could become stronger. The main threats would be gusty winds, with a small chance for hail and even a brief spin-up.

Once the cold front moves through, cooler air arrives for the weekend. Some lingering spotty showers are possible Sunday morning, but clouds will gradually give way to sunshine. Highs will be closer to average in the low 60s, and it will remain breezy behind the front…
