SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — After a very warm and rainy Saturday afternoon and evening, drier and cooler weather will return for the second half of the weekend.
Showers and storms were widespread at times on Saturday. Most locations received at least some measurable rainfall. Totals for locations along and north of I-16 received over a half an inch of rain. Thankfully, the severe weather risk did not come to fruition in our area.
Overnight and into Sunday morning, the cloud cover will begin to thin out. Temperatures will be cool into the lower to middle 40s due to a northerly breeze behind a cold front that passed through along with the showers and storms.
Areas of patchy dense fog are possible early Sunday morning. Visibility readings will be less than a half mile at times. Visibility may be near zero miles in some areas. Be sure to use caution on the roads early in the day…
