BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) — A 25-year-old Ridgeland man was sentenced to over five years in prison for possessing a modified handgun Thursday, officials announced.
Emanuelle Hargrove Jr. pleaded guilty to possession of a machine gun in Beaufort County General Sessions Court. He was sentenced to six years, a 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office spokesperson said.
The charge stemmed from a Jan. 8, 2024, traffic stop shortly after 3 a.m. on Lady’s Island.
