Community Corner: First Bryan Baptist Church celebrates 238th anniversary

Savannah, GA (WSAV) – Considered to be the ‘Mother Church’ of Black Baptists, Savannah’s First Bryan is celebrating its 238th anniversary and they want you to join them to help mark the historic milestone.Lead pastor, Rev. Dr. Christopher Pittman Sr., and lifelong member and Historic Preservation Leader, Miss Georgia Benton, sat down with WSAV’s Kim Gusby to talk about the place of worship’s pivotal role in history.

The Anniversary Celebration will begin Friday, January 16th with a Friday Night Gospel Concert featuring Rev. Harold Zion Edwards and other musical guests from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
