Aldi is ramping up its presence in the Lowcountry and beyond with two confirmed new stores opening in 2026 as part of a massive nationwide push. These fit into their plan to hit 800 new locations by 2028, fueled by the 2024 acquisition of Southeastern Grocers (Winn-Dixie and Harveys parents). In the Southeast, expect about 80 conversions from those chains in 2026 alone.
