SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The man accused of shooting and killing a 47-year-old mother at a Savannah gas station was formally indicted Wednesday.
Pierre Antonio Byrd was indicted on several charges in connection to the Dec. 3, 2025, death of 47-year-old Tonya Sellers. Byrd was reportedly her Sellers’ boyfriend, her family told WSAV.
Police said witnesses reported that Sellers and Byrd appeared to be in an altercation that morning. After officers were called, gunshots were fired. Sellers was taken to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries, a police spokesperson said.
