WHITEMARSH ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) – [Update as of 5:54p.m.] Chatham County Police Department says the situation involving a barricaded subject on Heron’s Nest has been resolved and everyone is safe.
CCPD says their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Police are responding to a person who has barricaded himself inside a home on Heron’s Nest, a gated community off Johnny Mercer Boulevard on Whitemarsh Island.
The Chatham County Police Department requested assistance from the Savannah Police Department’s SWAT team for the ongoing situation. Officers do not believe anyone else is inside the residence with the barricaded person…
