Georgia DOT major regional projects gaining traction in 2026

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Georgia Department of Transportation released updates on major roadway projects in its Accountability and Investment Report this month, showing progress on two significant regional transportation initiatives.

The 92-page report went over various projects, initiatives, concerns, and accomplishments.

In our region, there were several projects highlighted, but two have stood out for several communities who anticipate traveling easier through the Coastal Empire.
