BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) – South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace announced Friday morning that the Department of Veterans Affairs has officially selected a location for the new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Beaufort County.
The new facility will be located at 1844 Ribaut Road in the Town of Port Royal. The location was carefully selected due to its proximity to both Parris Island and Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. The location means it will be able to serve the 16,881 veterans who call Beaufort County home.
Rep. Mace secured $30,646,000 in funding through the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs for the project.
The money going to the project will fund a modern outpatient facility providing:
- Primary care
- Mental health services
- Counseling
- Critical VA programs
The clinic will also create construction and healthcare jobs, strengthening the Lowcountry’s economy. The clinic is expected to open in 2028…
