South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, Chair of the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force, released the 2025 Human Trafficking Task Force Annual Report on Jan. 12, and the data indicates that the work of the Task Force continues to result in lower numbers of human trafficking cases in Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties, while other areas face more challenges.
The report shares data that details the extent of human trafficking in South Carolina at both the state and county levels, particularly in the number of cases reported, investigated and prosecuted.
