A Chatham County judge scheduled trial on Mar. 30 for a father accused of murdering his 6-month-old son.
Court documents allege Landon Rye, 25, killed his son, Liam Rye, through blunt impact head trauma over two years ago. He was indicted by a grand jury on Sept. 24, 2025, on two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault and cruelty to children in the first degree.
