Polaris Tech teacher facing charges after police investigation

A Polaris Tech Charter School teacher, who had been under investigation since at least Jan. 23 by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, has been arrested, officials said Jan. 30.

Following interviews and an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior by the teacher, detectives with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office sheriff’s office made an arrest Jan. 29, said Christian Felt, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.

Dylan Stefl, 23, of Ridgeland, was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, third degree, Felt said. Stefl is currently on administrative leave from Polaris, according to the sheriff’s office…
