Tybee Island Police Department recently installed a new Flock Safety license plate reader at the Lazaretto Creek Bridge, expanding their existing network to enhance public safety.

System Expansion

The department now operates 28 Flock devices island-wide, with plans to reach 33. These automated readers capture license plate data and vehicle details—without continuous video feeds—to alert officers of matches against hotlists for stolen vehicles, wanted persons, or emergencies.​
