2 indicted in Savannah shooting death of 14-year-old

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Two 18-year-olds were indicted on murder charges in connection to the September 2025 shooting death of a 14-year-old boy Wednesday.

A Chatham County Grand Jury formally charged 18-year-old Marcus Jamal Thomas Jr. and 18-year-old Caesar Bernard Thompkins Jr. They are both charged with malice murder, two counts of felony murder, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery and aggravated assault.

The 18-year-olds are accused of shooting and killing Markel Bush in the 700 block of W. 57th Street on Sept. 18, 2025.
