SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Two Savannah senior living complexes are facing serious complaints of unsafe and unlivable conditions, residents and officials told WSAV Monday.
From leaky dishwashers and broken stoves to no heat during cold winter months, seniors and their families said they are being charged more in rent without receiving basic necessities. Residents at the Veranda at Midtown and The Romana Riley Lofts said their concerns have gone unanswered for months.
“For 10 months I didn’t have a dryer” resident Jenovis Randall said. “And now the dryer that they replaced after 10 months they have also, that is also broke down. I have a… dishwasher. It does not work. It just pours water out on the floor.”…
