ST. MARYS, Ga. (WSAV) — Georgia’s coast gained national attention after Tybee Island was named one of the best winter fishing destinations in the country for 2026 by FishingBooker.
Charter Captain John Que Thomas said St. Marys offers many of the same conditions that make the region a prime cold-weather fishing spot. Thomas spends nearly every day out on the water studying fish migration and the unique features of The Atlantic Ocean along Georgia’s coast.
