SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — House Bill 117, also known as the shrimp bill, was officially passed Wednesday, and is headed to the governor’s desk.
Local shrimpers and advocates have been watching HB 117 closely for the past year. WSAV has followed the bill since State Rep. Jesse Petrea (R-Savannah) first sponsored the bill.
