ISLE OF HOPE, Ga. (WTOC) – The U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit issued a mariner advisory on Skidaway River on Feb. 15 after finding a sunken vessel.
In a social media post, the USCG reported a boat called SUN DANCE is currently partially submerged near the federal navigation channel of the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), in the vicinity of Buoy 48A on the Skidaway River near the Isle of Hope Marina.
They confirmed the boat’s last known position along the Skidaway River. The Coast Guard reported that the vessel is located approximately 60 feet outside of the channel, but it has the potential to shift or swing up to 35 feet during tidal cycles, which could place it closer to or partially within the navigation channel…
