Hands-Free Driving Law warning period ends Feb. 28

South Carolina’s Hands-Free Driving Law will soon be enforced as the 180-day warning period will end Feb. 28. The first offense will be a $100 fine.

South Carolina’s Hands-Free Driving Law will soon be administered and local law enforcement officials want to make sure citizens are aware of it.

“We want to remind everyone that the 180-day warning period for South Carolina’s Hands-Free Driving Law ends Feb. 28,” Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Christian Felt said. “Beginning on that date, deputies will begin issuing citations for violations.”…
