Rincon family loses home to fire, ring camera catches explosion that started blaze

RINCON, Ga. (WSAV) — A Rincon family’s home burned down and their surveillance camera caught the explosion that started the blaze.

Haylie Cooler sent the video to WSAV News 3. In it, you can see the initial explosion. Her elderly grandfather is sitting in the living room and the family rushes to get him out. Within 30 seconds, the home was filled with smoke and completely burned down in less than 2 minutes.

Hailey, her grandfather, mother and brother were able to get out of the home but are now displaced. Several of their pets were rescued from the fire but one of their cats died and another is still missing.
