K-State in 14th After Two Rounds in South Carolina

BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Kansas State men’s golf team has work to do in the final round of the Colleton River Collegiate, as the Wildcats posted a two-round total of 10-over par 586 on Monday at the par-72, 7,403-yard Pete Dye Course of the Colleton River Plantation Club.

K-State is in 14th place, one shot behind 13th-place Indiana following rounds of 7-over par 295 in the morning and 3-over par 291 in the afternoon.

The Wildcats’ scoring lineup on Sunday was led by freshman Ville Virkkala, who is tied for 24th place at even-par 144. The Espoo, Finland, native began the event with a round of 1-under par 71 with four birdies in the morning before a second 18 of 1-over par 73…
