TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WSAV) — The Tybee Island Police Department (TIPD) addressed child trafficking rumors that have been circulating in the area.
Authorities said these rumors began after a woman reported being followed by a group of men at Tybee Island’s North Beach on Sunday. According to officials, the woman was walking on the beach with her two young children when she noticed a group of men seemed to be following them.
The woman told officers that she noticed the men holding their phones as if taking a picture of her and the children. She later met with a group of friends who also believed the men’s behavior was strange…
