SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The victim killed in Thursday’s shooting at Old Dominion University had previously served at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah and was a University of Georgia graduate, Governor Brian Kemp said.

Lt. Colonel Brandon Shah had previously served as the director of the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, according to a UGA recognition.
A 3rd Infantry Division spokesperson told WSAV, “We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a former Dogface Soldier, leader, and valued teammate, Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, at the Old Dominion University incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and students impacted by his tragic loss.”
