Victim killed in Old Dominion University shooting served in Savannah, was UGA graduate, Governor Kemp says

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The victim killed in Thursday’s shooting at Old Dominion University had previously served at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah and was a University of Georgia graduate, Governor Brian Kemp said.

Brandon Shah had previously served as the director of the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah. Most recently, Shah was listed as department chair and a professor of military science at Old Dominion University’s Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.

After earning his Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 2018, Shah was named a Terry Trailblazer from the Terry College of Business in 2022.

His Terry Trailblazer recognition in 2022 said, “He oversees the readiness of 2,700 soldiers and $2.4 billion of aircraft and equipment.”…
