New $11.5M library coming to Eisenhower and Waters, replacing nearly fifty-year old Oglethorpe Mall branch

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Savannah is getting a major library upgrade, with plans now moving forward for a brand-new $11.5 million branch that will replace the nearly 50-year-old Oglethorpe Mall Library.

Live Oak Public Library says local firm GMSHAY Architects will design the new facility at Eisenhower Drive and Waters Avenue on county-owned property.

Officials say the current location is outdated and no longer large enough to serve the growing community…
