Savannah firefighters respond to Montgomery, W. Henry Street

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Firefighters put out a “fully involved” residential fire within 30 minutes of being dispatched Wednesday, a Savannah Fire spokesperson reported.

Savannah Fire Department crews were dispatched to Montgomery Street and West Henry Street at approximately 9:53 p.m. There, they found the structure to be fully involved, which means it had progressed to a point where it was no longer contained to a small area.

Firefighters began using water on the fire at 10 p.m., and in four minutes, they had knocked down all visible fire. The fire was declared out at 10:18 p.m., a spokesperson said…
