CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – The driver of a gray car was arrested for a DUI after a crash involving a Garden City Police officer Wednesday night on Dean Forest Road near Nassau Woods.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the officer was attempting a U-turn to assist a van that had run out of gas when another vehicle collided with the patrol car. GSP said they responded to the crash at around 11:00 p.m., and confirmed the crash involved a marked Garden City Police Dodge Durango and a gray car.
Troopers at the scene said the other driver was intoxicated, and WTOC crews witnessed that driver being taken into custody. GSP later confirmed the driver of the gray car was placed under arrest for driving under the influence…
