The City of Savannah plans to cut the ribbon on its latest portion of the Tide to Town trail in June, but you wouldn’t know it if you visited the trail on any day the sun is shining.
That’s because the trail is already in use by bikers and runners across Savannah, as showcased on a recent visit by reporters when about four bicyclists and a runner were seen in a span of just 30 minutes. The core shared-use path, connecting Daffin Park to Lake Mayer, is paved and usable, but the city is continuing with lighting and safety improvements before the official ribbon cutting.
