Tybee Police: No suspect has been identified in gunfire incident

Tybee Island Police Department said Sunday morning that the investigation into shots fired near the pier Saturday evening is ongoing.

Cpt. Emory Randolph said no suspect has been identified and no victims have come forward.

“As horrible as this situation was, we are hopeful that this means no one was seriously injured,” said Randolph. “We are also grateful for the swift actions of our officers who were on duty, and those who left their families at a moment’s notice during Easter weekend to answer the call. Their professionalism, bravery, and dedication to duty undoubtably prevented the situation from escalating further.”…
