2025 fatal police chase suspect granted bond

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — A man accused of causing a bystander’s death in 2025 while fleeing police has been granted bond.

Kenneth Gordon was granted a $25,000 bond following a hearing on Tuesday. He is facing three counts of homicide by vehicle in the first degree, two counts of hit and run, three counts of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and two counts of reckless driving.

These charges stem from a deadly crash back in March 2025. Gordon was allegedly fleeing a police chase when he hit a Chevrolet Malibu that was trying to pull onto a parkway. The driver of the vehicle, 60-year-old Darren Lewis, was pronounced dead at the scene.
