Savannah explores ‘missing middle’ housing to expand affordability

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah leaders are exploring a new approach to housing that could expand affordable options while giving city council members a clearer picture of how their decisions shape neighborhoods.

During a city workshop and mobile housing unit tour Thursday, officials introduced a “missing middle housing” toolkit designed to show what these types of developments already look like across Savannah.
