SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV)– Friends and family came together Friday for a birthday celebration for Darren Lewis, an innocent bystander who was killed last March during a high-speed police chase.
A day after his 62nd birthday, his wife, Kathy Lewis, hosted a birthday memorial celebration in his honor.
“It’s a happy celebration simply because of Darren,” Kathy said. “Darren was a happy person. He was the calm in the storm. He was the bubbly, bubbly person, a jokester. And we just wanted to celebrate him come together as a family because he loved family.”…
