SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Savannah is receiving national recognition for its work addressing environmental health challenges.
The Community Data Health Initiative, in partnership with the African American Mayors Association, named Savannah one of the Top 12 AAMA Cities to Watch on Environmental Health. Savannah was recognized in the category of extreme heat, alongside other cities across the country.
The initiative highlights cities leading efforts to address environmental threats such as air quality, extreme heat and lead service line replacement.
