CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — Local police are warning residents to stay alert to bank scams after one victim lost thousands of dollars this month.
The Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) said they saw someone physically come to the door of a victim and take their money from them, claiming to be a courier from their bank.
That person has since been arrested, but the department said people need to stop, check and protect themselves to avoid becoming scam victims…
