SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — For seven days, a group of Chatham County Firefighters helped battle the massive wildfire in Brantley County. They shared their experience with WSAV Monday.
Captains Johnathan Campbell and Jaden Jackson deployed to Brantley County when the fire was less than 10% contained. They both said it was their first time fighting a fire of this magnitude.
