Beach High School placed on lockdown after threatening phone call

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Beach High School was placed on lockdown Thursday, May 14, after the school received a threatening phone call, according to Savannah-Chatham County Public School System officials.

Administrators said the call prompted an immediate lockdown while Campus Police responded and conducted a search of the school.

Parents and visitors may notice an increased police presence on campus for the remainder of the day as a precaution. Officials also said movement around campus was restricted during the search…
