SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Bobbie’s Diner reopened in February after an eight-year closure, returning the stainless-steel landmark to Habersham Street.
The Savannah College of Art and Design-owned diner first came to Savannah in 1989. SCAD acquired the structure, originally built in 1952 by Mountain View Diners Company in New Jersey, from Rhode Island. The diner had been operating there before the college transported it intact to Georgia, where it opened in 1991.
