A weather system blew dust into the Valley on Wednesday evening and had the potential to develop into a thunderstorm, according to officials.
The National Weather Service (NWS) for Phoenix posted that the head of the storm was pushing dust toward Loop 202 Santan Freeway from the south near Arizona Avenue around 4:45 p.m. NWS meteorologists warned motorists in the area to drive carefully.
