PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Today is a First Alert weather day for extreme heat in the Valley. Look for an afternoon high of 114 degrees today, which is 7 degrees above normal and 4 degrees shy of the daily record.
An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect for today in the Valley and has now been extended through Friday as well. Afternoon highs will remain extremely hot near 112 degrees, and morning lows will be uncomfortably warm near 90 degrees.
Monsoon storm chances continue today in southeastern Arizona and the White Mountains of eastern Arizona. The Valley, and most of the high country of northern Arizona will stay dry, but changes are on the way…
