25 injured after truck crashes into Elks Lodge in Apache Junction

Ten people were taken to hospitals and 15 others were treated at the scene Saturday night after a truck crashed into the Elks Lodge, 2455 N. Apache Trail, police said.

“The driver is in custody, and alcohol was a contributing factor,” Apache Junction police stated on Facebook.

Authorities were working late Saturday night and Sunday morning to identify those involved and said those looking for family or friends affected by the crash should contact the Apache Junction Police Department at 480-982-8260.

“On behalf of our mayor and City Council, our hearts go out to everyone affected by this incident currently being worked by the Apache Junction Police Department ,” the city stated on Facebook.

“We extend our deepest concern and support to the victims and their families and want to acknowledge our first responders who are working tirelessly to support them during this time.”
