As Scottsdale reels from a recent wave of social media threats targeting its schools, law enforcement and educational institutions are taking a proactive stance to quickly respond to any potential dangers. According to a statement released by the Scottsdale Police Department (SPD), over the past week, numerous reports have surfaced on social media proposing threats of violence against school campuses across the state and nation. Collaboration between school resource officers, district staff, and the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC) has become essential in navigating the over one hundred threats that have been communicated to the police between the valleys and Tucson areas.
