PHOENIX – An Excessive Heat Warning is now in effect for the Phoenix metro area and much of the lower elevation deserts across Arizona through at least 8 p.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service Extended that warning overnight as our extreme heat wave continues into the first week of October.
