Phoenix first responders anticipate increase in calls with warmer weather

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — As the warmer weather returns to the Valley, more people will head out on the hiking trails or want to take a dip in the pool. Now, is the time to plan ahead and prepare so you’re safe during outdoor activities.

Even with the cooler temperatures, Phoenix Fire Captain Rob McDade said first responders have been answering injury calls every weekend at hiking trails. With the warm-up coming next week, Capt. McDade said they’re anticipating more heat-related calls.

Even Valley natives, or avid hikers, have to be careful…
